Would You Walk Through The Door?
Philippians1:29For to you it has been granted for Christ’s sake, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake, 30experiencing the same conflict which you saw in me, and now hear to be in me.
You stand in a room filled with doors. Each one opens to a path you could take, but only one leads to the salvation of many people. If you walk through that door you will experience depression, betrayal, abuse, overwhelming loss, constant stress, persecution and die an early death. Would you walk through the door?

Interesting question🤔 Not intentionally, but I think as Christians, we have that are question staring at us every day. We know that things aren’t always going to go our way but instead of getting down about it and choosing the temporary escape through such a door as you offered up, I can see the need for us to draw very close to God in prayer and His Word for our answers. You are absolutely right. Jesus drew close to his heavenly father through studying scripture, worshiping in the temple, prayer and fasting. We understand his will by doing the same. God has me sitting in front of the image of this door, helping me to understand that my sufferings serves a greater purpose, even if my eyes never see the results of walking through the door of His will. My desire and hope is that I can be a part of turning the tide on suicide and depression. An obviously good desire, in line with the Lord’s will that none should perish, but for that desire to become reality I must die to self, take up my cross, and follow him.

Yes indeed! That’s why it’s so important for Christians to be about His commands today. Others whom the devil is blinding and holding on to, can come to know that they have HOPE in God. If we do not seek Him daily with complete surrender, we waste His time and ours. We know that He is Powerful enough to accomplish WHATEVER He needs to do, but He wants to use His children.🙂
I finally learned that dying to self is really the process that we go through when everything we’ve ever known is completely gone, nothing that was remains, then and only then did I come to understand that once we mourn the loss of who we used to be and accept that God allowed and brought about changes, then we are aware that we are standing in awe and useable because our old way of familiarly is gone. 🙆🼠I closed my business of 20 years due to neck/back issues, I went through the death process and realized that’s how I died to myself. Everything that I knew….gone….starting over anew in Him🤔😊🙂🎈 thanks for the follow😊
