A Depression Description to Remember

Alice Chen gives a vivid illustration of what it is like to try to escape depression in her poem Waltzing with Depression

A spirit of despair is not something any of us can easily untangle ourselves from. Be moved with compassion for those that are caught in the embrace of this harsh waltz.

” For he had often been chained hand and foot, but he tore the chains apart and broke the irons on his feet. No one was strong enough to subdue him” (Mark 5:4 NIV).

The world’s response if often to chain what we don’t understand. Jesus’ response was to heal and set free.
